Local Transportation To and From Agave Landings:

The Number 22 Bus runs from the village of Old Road along Valley Road from the South part of the Island past Agave Landings and Jolly Harbour into St. John's West Bus Station and back. To take this bus to Jolly Harbour or into St. John's, leave Agave Landings, walk out to the main road (Valley Road), and stand near the road. As a bus/van approaches, put out or wave your hand to indicate that you wish them to stop.

Buses have a yellow license plate that starts with the letters "B U S" and are normally Toyota or Nissan passenger vans operated by private individuals.  Most have the bus number on the windshield.

You should pay the driver on your departure form the bus. Standard fare for a one-way trip to St. Johns (subject to change) is currently ECD 3.00 for adults and ECD 2.25 for children 2-13 years old. Additional bus routes and information can be found at Bus Stop Antigua.

Taxis congregate at various points in St. John's, at the airport in the north, Jolly Harbour in the west, and English Harbour in the south. They are available at all times. You can also get one at the nearest hotel. The government sets taxi rates but, as in any country, it's wise to establish both the amount and the currency before setting off.

If for any reason these taxi men are busy and cannot provide service they will normally recommend you to another reliable driver to take care of your needs.

The standard fare from Agave Landings is USD $35.00 to/from V.C. Bird Airport and USD $26.00 to/from St. John's. This is for up to 4 people.
